Bubión
Member of Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España
Flat roofs, squat chimneys and balconies crowded with flowerpots mark Bubión, the middle of the three villages strung along the Poqueira gorge on the southern flank of the Sierra Nevada. After the Morisco revolt of 1568 its people were expelled and settlers came from Galicia, León, Asturias and Castile. On clear days the view takes in both the Mediterranean and the Sierra Nevada.
