Brittany and Normandy

6 days · ~11 h 45 driving ·Coast, Food

A trip through granite Brittany and on to the Normandy coast, with one village a day and time left for the sea. Rochefort-en-Terre comes first, then Locronan, whose square of granite merchants' houses grew rich on sailcloth, and Moncontour inside its walls in the hills of the Côtes-d'Armor. Saint-Suliac lines the shore of the Rance estuary, and in Normandy the route reaches the fishing harbour of Barfleur and the half-timbered village of Beuvron-en-Auge, in cider country.
