Brisighella
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Three selenite crags rise over Brisighella, each topped by a landmark: the Rocca Manfrediana, the Monticino sanctuary and the clock tower. Beneath them runs the Via degli Asini, a raised covered street along which donkeys once carried gypsum, oil and wine bound for Venice and Florence. The surrounding hills make Brisighella olive oil, the first in Italy to win DOP status, in 1996.
