Tournon-d'Agenais
Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France
Philip III of France founded this bastide in 1271 on a hilltop above the valleys of the Boudouyssou and Camp Beau, on the edge of the Quercy Blanc. At its heart is the Place des Corniers, lined with stone houses over arcades, and the old town keeps a belfry with a lunar clock. The village also remembers 3 July 1944, when German troops sacked it in reprisal against the Resistance.
