Cantabria and Asturias: coast and mountains
Four days along Spain's green north coast and into the Picos de Europa. In Cantabria, Liérganes has a legend of a man who turned into a fish, Santillana del Mar is a village of stone mansions near the Altamira caves, and Comillas has a summer house designed by Gaudí. Carmona and Bárcena Mayor lie in quiet valleys inland, and Potes and Mogrovejo face the Picos. In Asturias the trip returns to the sea at the fishing villages of Lastres, Tazones and Cudillero.
